2019 Saudi Super Cup
The 2019 Saudi Super Cup was the 6th edition of the Saudi Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Saudi Pro League and King's Cup. It was played on 4 January 2020 by Al-Nassr, the winners of the 2018–19 Saudi Pro League, and Al-Taawoun, the winners of the 2019 King Cup. The match was held at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the first time. Al-Nassr won 5–4 on a penalty shoot-out after a 1–1 draw at the end of extra time, securing their first title in the competition. Venue The King Abdullah Sports City, also known as the Jewel Stadium, was announced as the venue of the final on 11 November 2019. This was the first time the King Abdullah Sports City hosted the final and was the third time it was hosted in Saudi Arabia. King Abdullah Sports City (Arabic: مدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية), also nicknamed The Shining Jewel, in Arabic (al-Jawharaa Al-Moshe'ah) (Arabic: الجوهرة المشعة) or simply The Jewel, in Arabic (al-Jawhara) (Arabic: الجوهرة), is a multi-use stadium and sports city located 30 kilometers north of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al-Ahli Saudi Football Club ( ar, النادي الأهلي السعودي) is a Saudi Arabian professional football club based in Jeddah, that competes in the second division of Saudi Arabian football, following their relegation from the Saudi Professional League in the 2021–22 season. The club was founded in 1937. Domestically, Al-Ahli has won three Saudi Professional Leagues, holds record of 13 King's Cups, six Crown Prince Cups, one General League Shield, and one Super Cup. Yahya Sulaiman Ali al-Shehri ( ar, يحيى سليمان علي الشهري; born 26 June 1990) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Al-Raed and the Saudi Arabia national team. He was promoted from the youth team of Ettifaq and appeared in the first team in the 2009–10 Saudi Professional League. In 2013, he transferred to Al-Nassr. Noureddine "Nordin" Amrabat ( ar, نورالدين أمرابط, ber, ⵏⵓⵓⵔⴷⴷⵉⵏ ⴰⵎⵔⴰⴱⴰⵜ; born 31 March 1987) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger for Greek Super League club AEK Athens. The 2015 Saudi Super Cup was the third edition of the Saudi Super Cup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Saudi Pro League and King's Cup competitions. The match was played between Al-Nassr, the winner of the 2014–15 Saudi Pro League and Al-Hilal, the winner of the 2015 King Cup. The match was played on 12 August 2015.
